Uvas Felices

– Madrid

Brilliant, bold, bouncy. These are three words which sum up the wines of Uvas Felices. These intensely pure and expressive wines are made from grapes from old vine Garnacha (between 50 and 90 years old) in Cadalso de los Vidrios (just west of Madrid). Here low-yielding vineyards skirt the high mountain forests in the Sierra de Gredos hills, producing wines of great depth and concentration. The high-altitude vineyards provide a freshness to these intense wines. Although they are rich, supercharged wines, they remain eminently drinkable and bright.

The name itself ‘Uvas Felices’, means happy grapes, which sums up their ethos of making delicious wines that don’t take themselves too seriously.
