Domaine Désiré Petit

– Jura

Peter Jackson left the deeply mysterious, enigmatic and ancient character Tom Bombadil out of his epic Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. In many ways, the Jura is the Tom Bombadil of wine, if you had to condense wine into a nine-hour, three-part feature film, you may well end up leaving the Jura out. It’s an anomaly which just wouldn’t fit into the schedule of a Hollywood film. However, it is a place that is worth stopping, a diversion worth taking because it has intrigue and excitement for those willing to take the time. The Lord of the Rings is a tale which grew in the telling, which is also fitting because it’s a bit like 3rd Floor Wines really…

At Domaine Désiré Petit they are telling their own story. It is now run by the third generation of the Petit Family, Damien and Anne-Laure. The wines all have real personality, they offer real interest and a chance to explore this enticing region.
