Mineral del Montsant

– Montsant

Here’s a special project from winemaker Tomàs Cusiné, a blend of Grenache and Carignan grown at high altitude on the northern slopes of the Prades mountains, inland and slightly south west of Barcelona. Properly old vines provide stuffing and ‘heart’ whilst the altitude and the very particular micro-climate combine to really concentrate flavours in the skins and maintain exciting acidity in the wine. Really smart, really impressive but very successfully and reassuringly the right side of flashy.
